Need I say anything, even for our non-UK pals?

Happy memories. My grandfather was a dedicated football fan. The only face I can put a name to now is Bobby Charlton.

Kitty, from left to right: Jackie Charlton, Nobby Stiles, Gordon Banks, Alan Ball, Martin Peters, Geoff Hurst, Bobby Moore (aloft), then ? and ?, then Bobby Charlton... Anyone care to fill in the blanks?

A bit late but the missing names are Ray Wilson and George Cohen.

Somehow 1977 and 1978 were skipped - I presume Member Grew is filling in for one of those? Here is the missing link for 1977:

They are there, Ian. I probably caused the confusion by adding in a replacement/spare 1976 for one which had gone missing (at least on my screen). My apologies, world. But the more the merrier. We wouldn't want to be without the Sex Pistols.

I can join in now cos I'm alive! (Born the same year as A's first daughter, and my sister was born a year after her second.)

I'm just too late for the single cover to 'I Should Be So Lucky' (the first single I bought, I think), which charted in December 1987. But here's the album, which came out the following summer:

Bill Clinton started his second term in 1997, not 1993...
