Er, do you mean me, A? (When in doubt, wash?) Jennie by Paul Gallico. Now out of print. Disappointing, as my daughter had book tokens and wanted to buy it. My copy's disappeared. I really want to find it as it's signed by the author. (But I didn't meet him, I found it in a charity shop.)

Having made this walk up to the Albert Premier Hut (2702m) several times, I feel I ought to post it. A rather loud place to sleep (people get up at 2 and 3 in teh morning to start the Mont Blanc ascent), but jolly good soup, as far as I remember...... Tommo
