But seriously, what the hell is 'time-is-now' about?  Huh

I'm thinking of that bit in the Eleven Pools of Darkness scene of Ferneyhough's Shadowtime (I think it's the exchange with Einstein): 'What's the time NOW?'

I never thought of that one, although there is an intentional Walter Benjamin reference in my name*, cohabiting comfortably with the speaking-clock reference and the contemporary-music reference.

*look up Jetztzeit in a Benjamin glossary if you're interested (and if such a thing as a Benjamin glossary exists!)

So now you have it, martle. Smiley

I have a French horn in my basement, as well as a 6-month supply of freeze dried chicken noodle soup.

...after escaping from her confinement she told police how she had been force-fed chicken noodle soup through a French horn...

...those who survived the holocaust were an eclectic bunch, paramilitary paranoiacs, forward-thinking academics, and a French horn player with a murderous aversion to chicken noodle soup...

...the team excavating the ruins discovered an intriguing ritual burial chamber, the deceased equipped for the journey into the afterlife with a French horn and a large quantity of chicken noodle soup...

In relation to food, yin and yang would be translated as expansive (yin) and contractive (yang).

Has anyone else noticed that General Than Shwe of Burma is almost a homophone for Feng Shui?
