When negotiating with lions I tend not to take Daniel along with me, as his name may make them suspicious.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
And prayed fervently that in the event of an accident, no king would be so stupid as to send horses as part of a crack team to reassemble pieces of broken egg.
What he'd failed to take into account, of course, was that in medieval Georgia some Kings were Queens. Which way does your dingle dangle, Your Majesty?

When negotiating with sardines I tend not to take t_i_n along with me, as his name may make them suspicious.
How dare you, Daniel?! That was uncalled for!

Fabio Capello, the new England football Manager, made it clear that in receiving only about £6m a year for managing the team, he does not have any time for it for at least the next month.

“In one month, when I meet the players, I want to be able to speak to them in English,” he said in Italian.

Since few of the players referred to seem able to speak English either, surely there is a more intelligent solution: while Fabio is "too busy" over the next month, why can't the English players learn Italian? They probably have enough time on their hands to manage that within the next week!

“In one month, when I meet the players, I want to be able to speak to them in English,” he said in Italian.

Is it not conceivable that that might have been an instruction to the players to learn English?  Undecided

MMm!  Smiley Perhaps his first cheque for £500,000 (even though he is away) may yet prove the most useful spending the FA can invest then.
