I alternate my beasts with wet and dry. They are also rather fond of broccoli, mushrooms, swede and eggs.
I alternate my br... no, never mind.

Right. So. Down to the cellar to pick up a little folding bike then up the road a tad, to the right around the hospital, across the canal, through Place de la République, down Rue du Temple / Rue Turbigo, left at Rue Beaubourg, hop over a block to the right at some point so I'm on Rue Saint-Jacques when I cross the river, follow that down to Boulevard Arago, turn left there as far as Rue de la Santé and then find number 29. What could possibly go wrong?

The thing that worries me is that the Americans seem to think "Are you being served?" is exemplary British humor (sic). I shudder to think what the observers at Proxima Centauri make of it. No wonder they try to be inconspicuous!

That's the only reason I can think of that would have led that individual to think all British undergarments are called "bloomers". I did get the bread eventually, you'll be relieved to hear.

The spaces are too big between 'pig' and 'and' and 'and' and 'whistle'.

Sprouts. It's always sprouts with him. You can tell. Every single day he gets up and puts them in the slow cooker for his dinner. It's the smell. You go to visit him and - good grief - you have to wash your clothes when you come back. You need a hazmat suit just to have a cup of tea! And don't get me started on his prime number fixation. And her? You don't want to know about her. Actually I've promised myself not to post anything about her here. Or about her boyfriend. Just in case. You understand. But she's lovely, really she is. A complete disaster, but lovely.
This all reminds me of what my great aunt used to say to me every year when I visited her... What? Oh. Yes, well less said about that the better.
"This is awful."
We try.
