The matter of Angels on Horseback did provoke a certain amount of dissention, but thankfully it was resolved when it was discovered that there was a problem with the celery. Privately, I congratulated myself on having pointed out previously that they were quite incompatible  on the same menu. A compromise was reached with Brown Windsor Soup, to the relief of  all present.

Brown Windsor Soup is not known for bringing relief.  In fact, the reverse is frequently the case and it is often desirable for medical facilities to be near at hand to alleviate unpleasant symptoms.  It is rumoured that the term "we are not amused" was first heard at a state function following ingestion of this strange liquid by out late dear Queen.

very frustrating! I think it might be getting caught in a recursive loop on the ninth line  Angry

Although a second look suggests that that would happen for the other definitions as well. Oh dear, time to put the Thinking Cap on.

Pogles' Wood was screened by the BBC from 1966 to 1968 as part of the BBC's Watch with Mother series. Prior to this, in 1965, the first story in the series, "The Pogles" was shown once but never repeated.  In many respects this was the best story ever told featuring the Pogles but it was considered a little too scary for small children.

Smiley Ollie!

By the way, Gergiev is coming up on the outside desk.  There goes the tubular bell, and with one lap to go it's neck and neck in the violins.  Just poking his scroll ahead is Maisky from the People's Republic of Cello, but I fear he is about to get pegged back by the Hagens.  Oh and look at that! LOOK AT THAT!  Meyer is bursting through the field on a B natural.  Well that wasn't in the score.

Chafers' wife went to Panama with his razor and left him hers.

Been trying to shave with it, but his chin is not a leg.

I wonder if Marc-André Hamelin and Elly Ameling are distantly related?

Actually, by the rules of elision, I'm not actually sure you even need the middle initial.
Unfortunately that does raise the spectre of an older brother called Christ.
