I've had something of an r3ok-tastic day today. I will have to be more restrained tomorrow and post a lot less Now I'm feeling completely wiped out and almost too tired to move... but I do like being in bed so I will be there shortly! Night all.

I am however going to have to eat something before retiring. My stomach is grumbling... Perhaps a potato scone is called for.

Ta ta and goodnight, for a while. Perhaps Had to phone BT again today only to discover that my phone number wasn't valid. According to Mumbai. Except then it was. According to Wales. Possibly. BB may be installed tomorrow. Then it won't, Then it will. Lord knows what will happen tomorrow. Anyway, I`m going outside. I may be some time ... Keep the kettle boiling, Beryl!

Hmm. Me too. Only so much excitement that one can stand in one day. I might try to ascertain whether that smell of burning is actually coming from my flat first though... And (of course) have something to eat. I have a slow morning planned for tomorrow because I have to stay in to wait for the delivery of some manuscript paper. At long bloody last! And all of my lectures on Thursday (in Durham) have just been cancelled so this means that I have whole day to hoover and compose!

Can't believe there are really 39 "guests" at this time of the morning, all looking in on us. Just four online. Any road oop, good night all.

Those guests are pesky spybots or search engines. Although banned from registering (not that they would) they still seem able to visit. Hits are measured, they have visited over 10,000 times.

Indeed John.
Google, for one, has to scan regularly otherwise how would the pages appear in Google searches? On the forum which I own I used to find that Google scanned regularly around midnight (our time). You can tell it's Google btw by doing "whois" on the IP address if you're an admin. All the other search engines have to do likewise.
But, yes, I expect there are lots of nasties scanning as well eg spammers scanning webpages looking for email addresses to add to their lists. So don't ever include an email address in a web page of any sort.

And in the silence that follows the answering of all of the questions, the silence that answers all of your open hands with a taciturn back, there is only one thing left to do. Good night all. http://www.ubu.com/sound/feldman.html

My iPod has just started to churn out Glass's music for La Belle et la Bête and I'm not sure that I can cope with that right now... I've composed the instrumental parts for the first chunk of VALENTINE lasting just about 50 seconds and I have to go into work tomorrow so I suppose I should wend my merry way to bed via making sandwiches and a lemsip. Night all.
