Good night all -

I have posted more today than in my entire prior time as a member.  Partly to try to convince our moderators that clamping down on an entire area of discourse is not the best approach to maintaining a free-thinking and stimulating forum - partly in other topics to try to remind ourselves why this forum is quite special and to keep some level of normalcy despite the gathering sense of doom.

I'm exhausted.  Perhaps a good night's sleep will bring reason - or at least a good compromise that will allow everyone involved the chance to save face while keeping the forum intact.

Good night, folks... let's hope tomorrow brings about something of a rethink, however doubtful it appears at the moment.

I missed the bewildering and sad day, but I still feel we should be given an explanation of the bizarre events of today.  The board is now split.  Perhaps that was the idea?  At any rate, we're spoilt for choice because we now have four R3 boards from which to choose.

Good night all.

Milly, you are so lucky you missed it  Undecided

I've tried to explain the problems that moderators saw, may seem like several explanations, but there was always an 'issue', which, as was stated over on the grumpy thread, goes back to R3mb days.

Events have taken over and so we will remain split but I hope R3ok can continue as it was on day 1.

Hi,

I mentioned in the 'stepping down' thread that I had to go down the pub, social event. Amazingly at 3 in the morning my missus and I have returned reasonably sober, I think she's already asleep now but me in my jammas couldn't resist turning on the laptop.

Seeing pim's message and images above really brought reality to the situation here at R3ok. Images of hotel bedrooms (affordable for those who can travel) a tropical scene (affordable for those who can travel) and a cardboard box for those lucky to find a cardboard box.

Most members of R3ok are probably somewhere between examples 2 and 3, and will be sleeping comfortably tonight. Later (being Sunday) they can do much as they wish and include some time logging in to R3ok or M&S. While doing so think of pim's last image, and be thankful that you CAN access R3ok and M&S and have choices in your life.

Goodnight all, or good morning as it will be for most, we are after all just a music/fun messageboard and can move forward.
