Laurence Crane's next CD cover? Smiley
I'm ashamed to say that I had to google that to check I was with you...

Actually I should clarify that the comment was not meant as cattily as it may have come across.

I just thought Laurence might like that sort of image as a CD cover. It's a pity his most recent CD is already out and I'm not aware of any more forthcoming in the near future.

It's a bit of a departure from my normal style being digital, which was kind of weird to do but brilliant fun.
Very earthy colors, I'm sure molluscs everywhere would be proud! And I have the greatest admiration for anyone who can draw using digital media.

No, I'm not a complete idiot. I'm only a halfwit. In fact I'm actually a catfish.

Oh - was that not what you meant then?  I didn't take it as catty, I just thought it was amusing!  Cheesy

Thanks Kitty.  Smiley  I have to say, if you get a graphics tablet it's almost easier than using traditional media as it's so much quicker to change colours.   Plus you don't have to wait for anything to dry, and you don't run out of a colour that you've mixed prematurely.  Layers & masks are also an incredible bonus. It all feels like quite a cop-out compared with doing 'proper' illustration.

Oh and you don't create as much mess.   Grin

Strangely enough martle, I've been reading that on the bus lately.
Compelling.

I'm off to bed to think about assessment criteria.
Night all.

Good evening and good night.
It's been another long day but had a very normal evening eating curry and watching terrible tv with friends.
I feel quite nostalgic.
And quite tired.

Just found this poem on Kittybriton's website, hope she doesn't mind me sharing it.

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth
empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
hang out the washing and butter the bread,
sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
