I'm a bit concerned that the R.S.P.C.A. need to be called over to martle's place, to check out what he's inflicting upon poor cats!

Get a grip Ian!  Remember, dogs have owners, cats have staff. I speak as one who, at this moment, has a cat that has crawled underneath  my rather long and roomy cardigan, made a tent out of it and won`t budge. Makes typing a tad tricky Roll Eyes

February before last I was wandering around the close at Canterbury between singing services.  It was rather wet and miserable and I spotted a ginger cat wandering around (also looking slightly wet and miserable).  In my usual way I decided to say hello to it, and next thing I knew it was draped around my shoulders like a living fur stole.  It evidently decided that I was nice and warm, and since I was holding a brolly I could keep it dry too...

That reminds me of the story someone or other told about seeing Britten and Pears approaching, and being very surprised that they appeared to be wearing fur collars, even though it was the middle of summer. It turned out to be their two dachshunds - apparently this was their favourite mode of travel. I think I'd prefer a cat. It would be softer and furrier than a dachshund.

Ros, on reflection, it probably wasn't a good idea to play that at 8.35am with a cup of coffee halfway to my lips.

As solicitors representing the IPR holders of Garnett and Morticia Moments we would like to point out that a recent putative example was definitely outwith the scope of what our clients had in mind. All claims for laundry, dry cleaning etc should therefore be passed directly to the representatives of Mr Rosslynchapel as our clients can in no way be held responsible.

I shall, as it happens, be putting in such a claim myself, although the soiled garment was not actually a shirt in my case.

Crikey!

There's something very dislocating about hearing that Sacre sample without the syncopated accents....

Tiny voice from the naughty corner:

sorry everyone

if it's any consolation (and I'm sure it's not) I fair soiled my breeches when I saw it first...

could be worse - I might have saved it for Christmas morning...
