No, it's not something I keep to myself particularly, Baz. I'm quite prepared to air it to anyone who shows an interest.

The sad thing about being female is that one doesn't have this interesting experience.

No, although I've washed my hands next to some very interesting people.  I only recognise them if they're opera singers Grin so, just for starters... Dame Janet Baker, Joan Rodgers, Marie McLaughlin, Laura Claycomb...

Not a bad list, Ruth!

Now, desperately trying to root out something impressive....

As a choir member I have stood behind Ian Bostridge, Anthony Rolfe Johnson, Lynne Dawson, Barbara Bonney, Michael Chance, lots of others...not really very impressive because most choir singers have done the same; and in front of Charles Groves, Richard Hickox, Roy Goodman, Libor Pesek, Yuri Timerkanov, and others I didn't notice  Grin. Timerkanov was the most frightening.

(Also one or two I would only want to whisper about - Carl Davis, Sarah Brightman, Michael Ball.)

Really? Perhaps I'm too gullible. A gentleman of my acquaintance c.1980 informed me that, in order to find out about politics, he joined four political parties - Labour, Conservative, Liberal and Communist. Labour threw him out for being a member of the CPGB - and they threw him out for being a member of Labour. He found little definition of Liberal policies and so left. His final Tory knees-up apparently featured a competition amongst the ladies to discover which of them could pee the highest against a wall.

I've often wondered about those Tory dowagers.
