Has LeTombeaudeCooperman joined us yet?

Lots of wit round here, but plenty of room for one more!

In admiration,

Julien-Sorel should be here too! (Or maybe he is already? No, I think I might have noticed...)

I'm ashamed to say that it took me another one of those I-hate-jazz threads on the Other Side to remind me. He turned up to say that on the contrary there was too little jazz and too much Delius.

Feel free to add, but I miss:

GEORGE (although is he here? Where?)
Jack Straw's Castle, aka John Fallas
smittims

Get over here guys! (Although many of us are clinging by fingernails to the old board too...)
martle, I've only just seen that but you've made my day! Here I am, anyway - signed up yesterday and posted in the 'Welcome' section a couple of hours ago ...

I've been lurking a little bit, but not so much, because I really needed to cut down my time spent on the 'other boards' and, much as I join everyone else in lamenting their demise, the change of regime seemed like a good opportunity to discipline myself. Don't know how long it'll last, though - imagine a New Year's resolution to give up something both highly enjoyable and deeply instructive, and then ask yourself how easy that resolution would be to keep!

Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and hope George, Julien, rekab7 (who now seems to be called jameslin in the Other Place), harmonyharmony (who's been awfully quiet recently, possibly in anticipation of being doctored) and all our other currently absent friends - and sparring partners! - will soon hop down the ether.

Yes, but not as rapidly!

Welcome, t_i_n! George and harmony˛ are already here. I'm sure the others will at least dip a toe in the water before long. Perhaps even one of their own. Smiley

Indeed, welcome T_i_N! Good to see you. It's all a bit apocalyptic, isn't it? And I know what you mean about too many fingers in too many pies, dipping toes in the water, dodging and weaving...
How was SF? (One for the Coffee Bar, perhaps.)

We're in the Coffee Bar, aren't we, m?  Roll Eyes

SF was very lovely. Have we not spoken since then?! Feels like I've been back for ages, though you're right, it's only a week ... (It's been quite an eventful week, though.)

George is here too, I've just noticed. Apparently he's posted 24 times already, so maybe he's been around longer than I noticed, but at the moment I can't find a way of looking at a given poster's contributions (there was a way, but it seems to have been disabled).

One should check the member list from time to time, by the way. People generally show up there before they show up here. Wink

I believe some are still waiting for the official Funeral "there" before joining the Wake here  Wink

Yes, but it's not a one-or-t'other thing is it? I waste time on both. This place has lots of fun smileys, formatting, pictures and animation. The other place has inscrutable moderation, an English-only rule, more trolls and a curfew.

Both have something to offer!  Smiley

I suspect Rog may be here under an alias already......

It would be good to have Sylvie and Southendian as people, rather than puppets.  I quite admired the image of Sylvie and her clipboard.....

I intend to maintain a dignified loyalty to the Public Sector Boards, flitting guiltily over here only occasionally, lured by the bright lights and the promise of instant gratification, to these privatised, advertising-funded, free market, out-sourced ones Shocked

Am I imagining it George, or did your nose just get a teensy-weensy bit longer?  Shocked
