Let's try an official attempt at Puzzle 70: York Bowen's Reverie in B major, Op. 86?

Unfortunately IGI you are - on this occasion - incorrect (sorry). But I'll put something on the discussion thread.

Really sorry Anna, but you are incorrect. Sad There are, however, three other seasons to choose from.

That appears to be from the Gurrelieder by Mr Arnold Schoenberg of Vienna.

Almost, but you do not have the composer's name quite right, so I think some points should be withheld. He was most insistent that it was "k", not "cis". Wink Arf!

So what about 86 then Richard? Written around 13 years before the Britten 6.

OH RATS!!  I knew it was FVZ, I played it again just before I left work at 5.00 and now I have returned  home, ready to post the answer and find Member Barrett has beaten me to it  Angry

I was concentrating too  hard on the Indian aspect

Oh DOUBLE RATS!!!  I have posted on the wrong thread and from being 100 points up this morning I will now only be 5 points up (one off topic and one wrong answer)

Of course! It's Metamorphosis (a work in five parts but, I believe, with a singular title) by John Cage.

Indeed, Richard. Any idea which of the 5 parts, each itself also called "Metemorphosis" (with the addition of a digit between 1 and 5)?
