Wasn't the idea behind Satie's "Gymnopedies" based on the victory dances performed by Greek athletes? sorry I can't be more helpful.

Member Grew might possibly have more information on this but I believe the "Gymnopaediae" were a rather different type of event, originating in Sparta, involving, ahem, naked boys covered in oil dancing and singing paeans in the moonlight to 'Apollo the Boy-Raiser' before an appreciative audience of the male Elders.

It all sounds jolly clean fun of course but possibly best just to run it past the School Governors first.  Cheesy
