Hallo Catherine, and Will, and welcome both to the waffle thread!

What an extraordinary little chap t-p's musical kitten is.

His ears and paws make him look like a small boy trying out his first school uniform on the day before term starts.

"But, Mum!"

"Don't worry, dear, you'll soon grow into it."

Cats are very clever by definition. Good morning oliver.
I like them all here (wet and fluffed). Catherin's Will is probably a big cat. They say Siamese cats are very smart. I am dreaming to have one.

Just two more and there'd be enough to perform catatonic scales according to a method which Mr S told us about once.

Don't worry, cat-lovers, the Ollie method is utterly delightful and not what you are fearing at all....should Mr S like to remind us  Smiley

Hm. I did once have a Siamese in the house and 'very smart' is not a phrase that springs to mind. What does spring to mind is a small ball of fur wanting to climb on to the bed in the middle of the night, not bothering to check first if there was anything on the edge of the bed up there and as a result running straight into my until-then-sleeping face.

Among other incidents.

The Puss Organ effect was noted once by my brother who shared a house with a number of friends and their cats. At meal times they (the cats) would all growl somewhat at each other while clustered around the bowls, something cats often do while eating together if they don't know each other very well. My brother noticed that if you patted a cat on the head it would stop growling. Since they all growled at their own pitch it was possible to play tunes by placing a finger lightly upon the head of any cat whose pitch was not for the time being required.

Thank you ollie. This is really funny story. I love how they purr. They can be such a good company.
I can not stop looking at them on the net. How much they grow in one week can be seein on this picture.
I once wanted to be a vet.

Ho!  Oliver, the picture of the soaking wet well washed cat I found on the web.  I've only washed my own cat once and that was when he arrived home from the nearby farm covered in a greasy white chemical.  Had he managed to lick it off I fear it would have killed him.  Oddly, after that, if I left a tap running gently he would leap up and hold his head under it.  Weird.
Cheers

Ho!.  I am interested to note that Syd, in a thread in the "other place" castigating the Archbishop of Canterbury as a bigot and homophobe (?) has posted, and proclaimed as logical:-

"in the arena of physical relationships homosexualism is rather more rewarding than heterosexualism".

In view of the obvious need for children in this world, some of whom will be musicians, this seems to be a strange idea of "rewarding".

Greetings Wafflers,

If you have read my note about Archiving you'll know I'm not inteneding to Archive the words of wafflers, but, having reached 2000 postings, as a tidy up task could I ask the next Waffle conversation to start off on a new waffle thread?

You can still call it The Waffle Thread and carry on as usual.

Thanks
