You can have chilled soup though I'm not really a big fan.
And sometimes soup has to be kept chilled until it is time to warm it up.
And sometimes haggis is vegetarian...

My fridge contains tonic water (though I really should go back to buying those little tins - makes much more sense), milk, orange juice, spinach, pak choi, peppers, aubergine (one), bones from lamb chops (four), horseradish sauce, goat's cheese, cheddar, parmesan, butter (unsalted) and a big bottle of lemonade (flat).
I wish it contained more but I ate it.

Excuse me.

Bless you. Have you been helping yourself to martle's soup?

Oh yes, and tomatoes, a lettuce and some horseradish roots that I probably should throw away since I've quite spectacularly failed to do anything with them...

Now I shall not forget what haggis is. I didn't know what they were before today.
I like refrigerator to have something nice in it, not only wine and water.
For example it is nice to have baked lasagna. I like things that get better the next day.

So, I got home last night, concocted some food to take with me today, and put it in the fridge overnight. Upon leaving this morning, I neglected to pick it up again. I only noticed when I was in the queue and got hungry.  Roll Eyes Cue rapid trip to Gloucester Road.

Ah yes: easy to do. I must remember to take the CD I've burned for Richard out of the fridge before I leave the flat on Thursday ...

You've missed an important trick there, 'tisnow: it shouldn't be in the fridge at all, but in the deep freezer.

Eru, there's an easy way around this common problem, which many of us have experienced.

When you make supper for yourself,  don't just make a single portion - make enough for a second meal later.

The scoff the lot in one go.   You save yourself the bother of making a second meal,  the time needed to eat it,  and a second load of washing-up.   How good is that, eh?  And kinder to the environment.   Nor do you have the bother of remembering to eat the pre-prepared food - since you already have.
