Good luck then! Or "break a leg" as my mother always insists on saying otherwise it's bad luck.

SMP woke me up with Mozart this morning on the  breakfast programme, so perhaps she hasn't really got it in for me personally at all!  Grin

Sara Mohr-Pietsch once admired my black nail varnish.

Now there's a bit of information you probably weren't expecting!

I always admire black nail varnish.  Smiley

Soon after I started going out with my ex, at which point he was into 90s glam and used to crimp his [very long] hair, I persuaded him to let me put some of my purple sparkly nail varnish on him.  We didn't really think it through properly because he had to compete in a snooker match at the local working men's club the following day.  Earned him a few funny looks the first time he put his bridge hand down...  Cheesy

I am sure you have shared the black nail varnish with us before, possibly with a picture.

The only time I was remotely flamboyant at college was in fact an expression of my boredom with the event.  I was invited to a fancy dress party, and was bored at the prospect of dressing up.  I cut out a number of large petals from pink crepe paper, and put them on a string round my neck.  Otherwise my clothes were as normal (V  neck pullover, flannels and shirt in all probability.)

When asked what I was, I replied "I am a pansy."

I am happy to be back. The only student is behind me.
My television set should arrive soon. I am excited about it.

I had such a good day. I even went for a little run around the house.
I am happy to join your company now.

I've never in my life seen a pink pansy, DB  Grin Grin. Many other colours, but not pink.

I'd like to have seen you, though  Grin

That's sweet of you Mary.  The general effect, minus petals, was as follows:

The dreadful hair style and sidies are not a result of trying to look like a rock star, none of whom I would have been able to name at the time, but a failure to have my hair cut regularly, as part of my general self consciousness about my appearance.  My Ugly Ducking moment came later.

It is. I'm trying to imagine the effect of the pink petals.

Funny how the young are always self-conscious about the way they look, even when there is nothing to worry about at all, but then we all know that youth is wasted on the young.
