Ah dear Cousin It. Such a dear and humorous man. He absolutely lived for his dogs. And as for our Cousin B, there was no stopping his enthusiasm .......

  Wink

PS - get out a fountain pen and try drawing it 'right side up', then 'upside down'... go on, just for fun.

 ... hang on ...

<roots around messy desk, finally finds fountain pen only to discover it's completely dried out>

I'll get back to you on that.

(The things I do just for fun... It's not like I should be practising or anything, sigh ... )

<emerges with ink-stained fingers>

(my desk is MUCH messier than that!)

Hmm.  Interesting.  It is possible to draw it the right way up, but not nearly as smooth.  And I expect a quill or whatever kind of nib Bach would have used would have been even more one-directional than my cheap Parker stainless steel one.  The paper would probably have been rougher as well.

I'll have to try this some more, I think!  But more important things first - a bit of practise, and getting back to the game!
