Humph on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue: "Samantha's got a job as a croupier....lots of men like to play blackjack all evening and poker all night."

You lost me here. I can not understand anything about Samantha.

Does it has something to do with them?

Oh, t-p, this Samantha is a pretend character who appears (or is at least talked about) on a comedy programme on the radio: much fun is derived from the way that nearly everything said about her has a double meaning: one quite innocent, the other - well, shall we say rather more adult. It does depend on the listener understanding quite a wealth of English slang, though, so don't be upset if it all seems strange.

Thank you Ron Dough. You are so nice to explain. Now I understand more. I just have to tune in.

I'm sure there must have been a few references to "forks" in Clue but I can't think of any at the moment.

One of my favourites is from Humph's Lionel Blair intro to Sound Charades from a few years back:

"How the tears of frustration welled up in his eyes during their Italian tour at not being allowed the use of his mouth to finish off Two Gentlemen of Verona."

(NB t-p, this is very rude Wink)

Sandi Toksvig must have been laughing for about 2 minutes, she just couldn't stop.

I better say nothing before I say something that I don't mean. Sorry folks.

I always like the closing comment on ISIHAC - e.g. "and so, as the housefly of time collides with the windscreen of fate" etc.etc....

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.
