A, I am still considering. I have a couple of run-of-the-mill solid state audio codec players, neither of which play mp2s properly. I also have a bargain basement 40GB "Venturer" hard disc player which at first seemed to play mp2s (renamed as mp3s) but can't handle 192kbps stereo ones properly. The main attraction of the iAudio players to me is that they can handle both FLAC and mp2. My 'need' is not urgent though. I will make do with what I have, and recode mp2s to high bitrate mp3s to maintain as much of their limited audio quality as possible.

Very astute observation Kitty  Grin Grin

I haven't been to a rock concert for about10-12 years , my daughters have 'all growed up' and don't go anymore... not with me anyway!!

Would that be the 4.33 to Little Witherington on Sea? I have found that service to be notoriously unreliable. I`d go for the  3.52 non stopping all the way.

A, digital radio uses mp2, and the Pure Bug (and some other devices) can save broadcasts in that format. It's a forerunner of mp3, and though less efficient in its degree of data compression and audio quality than mp3, is more suitable for radio transmission use since it has better built in error correction to compensate for data losses in the transmission/reception process. Some DVD players can handle mp2s saved to CD-R. The iAudio devices can also play them. It is possible to convert mp2s to mp3 format, but there is inevitably some loss of audio quality in the process since they use different lossy methods of data compression.

Not important enough to have an en suite?

GG - you've covered both urinals and commodes today - would you like to share anything about your potty training?
