Oh bugger, A! You have my unreserved sympathy, having busted one earlier this year. Damn painful Did they strap it to another toe so that it will heal in the right position? Sort of, but while he was strapping it he said things like 'This isn't easy when it's the little one' which didn't reassure me much !!!! Yes, it is pretty painful! A Twit! The nurse, not you! Just because it was tricky for him doesn`t mean he had to `share` it with you I`m sure you`ll be fine, takes about 6 weeks to get it sorted but after that you`ll be .... Or even ....

You'll be back out on the town in no time! Your littletoe is clearly in need of sympathy from a fellow foot:

Could have been low blood sugar or something simple like that.
Hope that's all it was, Anna. Are you feeling OK today? I had a phase of fainting when I hadn't drunk enough fluids during the day. MJ

OK , just to change the subject and talk about me 9 days ago I stubbed my foot on a doorframe. It hurt, it really hurt. It swelled up and went black. I thought, never mind these things go away in a few days.... it didn't. So today I went to have an xray, and I have broken it. BUT , of course , they don't do anything for little toes! At least I can say, 'I have broken my toe' now instead of 'I have stubbed my toe' !! Moan , whine, grump !! A Hope it stops hurting and gets better soon, A. Even a not-broken-just-stubbed-toe can be very painful. Poor you. MJ PS Last year my daughter broke her little finger. A real live kitten was the only thing that cheered her up and helped the finger heal up fast...maybe that would work for toes too - here's one for you:

Mort,
You always seem to be having techie probs. I am with Verging on the Ridiculous and with their new strong strong chastity belt wrapped around me I never even get a pop-up (no singgering at the back!) let alone any spam. Have you ever thought of changing your ISP?

Yes, I have thought of changing, Anna but the thought of all the schemozzle of fiddling around involved in changing rather makes me lose the will to live. Ok, I admit it, I`m a wuss

If you're using your ISP for email, Mort, it might be better to go for a web-based one like Google Mail which is very efficient at filtering spam - I've been using it since the start of the year. You can use POP to download your email to your PC via Thunderbird or Outlook Express if you want. Yahoo's not bad, I've used it for 6.5 years, though it's useless at detecting spam. Avoid Hotmail like the plague though!

Andy, I very rarely get spam on my hotmail account because i used a really obscure shell name as my address! I think many spam emails are determined by computers (or very thick spammers) and so tend to go for more recognisable letter configurations hence, if i had used my real name, I would probably have been inundated!

On my hotmail only My Contacts go into the In Box, Spam isn't a problem. Sometimes I go through the Junk Mail and block them and report them. Mort's had this problem before and to me, if you are paying for a service which doesn't work, then you change to someone else. Yes, it's a hassle notifying everyone but if you are losing emails which could be important I think you have to change to a more reliable provider.
