So tell me what this decorating thing is all about Ron, I might possibly want to try it one day (unlikely though).
So far as I can see, Andy, it's mainly a con-trick perpetrated by TV companies on a tight budget and DIY manufacturers and stockists to part folk from their money by convincing them that unless their homes are decked out in this year's fashionable patterns, colours and accessories, their lives are utterly worthless.

I enjoy creating a comfortable ambience, but then the shelves full of books and music which keep me happy would be considered as worthless clutter by all these expert TV pundits.

I wasn't being entirely facetious. As far as I'm concerned, if the walls, doors etc in a habitation perform their function, I'm not really bothered about what colour they're painted. That doesn't mean that I can't appreciate aesthetic values, just that in my day-to-day existence, they're of little importance.

When you log in, make sure that the drop-down menu is set to "forever". If you have to log in again next time, make sure that your cookies are "enabled".

Oh bugler with knobs on! The Mortmuda Triangle strikes again Angry My computer monitor is definitely on the way out. It threw a major hissy fit this morning and wouldn't respond to threats, cohersion or plain bad language. The screen just shrank and kept flashing at me in an 'up yours' kind of way. It's working now but I can take a hint. Off to PC World then to part with my hard earned loot Cry Sigh.

O no, Mort, poor you. Does that mean a new monitor, etc?

Fortunately bbm, there won't be an 'etc', just a new monitor. I replaced the computer a few months ago. Darn nuisance though.

A possible silver lining to the grump Mort is that, if you've got a monitor with a tube in it, you'll be able to get a flat screen one, they're so much better. However if you've already got a flat screen Angry

Nope Andy, don't have a flat screen, so guess I've got a tube. Big bulky back that takes up a lot of room? Any idea of what kind of price I may be looking at? <shaking hands emoticon>

It's about 33cms according to my measure, Ron There isn't really the room for a larger screen and I don't really think I need one.

You do know you measure the screen diagonally don't you Mort?  The flat screens take up a lot less room anyway.
