Think only danger to Authorised is the weather - if the ground turns to a bog strange results can happen-  would be great for Henry Cecil to win Oaks - be back to his golden days - as for 'Stoutie' bet hes priming his team up for Ascot - always seem to do well there  Cool

What a nice evening for Stoutie at Sandown.

Think I can afford a SACD system now !

Well to assuage my disappointment at Fabuleux Millie being a non-runner, Goodbye Cash came in for me instead.  Happy days!  Grin

Insolence Sparkling Shower Gel by Guerlain.  I'm going to try it in the morning and see if I emerge all dazzling and sparkling!  Cheesy

Offie -

You have speakers all over the bloody place - front, rear and a big woofer thing somewhere in the middle.
Surround sound in short.   The SACD sends separate messages to all of them to create the illusion of being surrounded by the music.
Sounded fab in the local hi-fi shop making the traditional two channels
a shade boring by comparison.
As you can tell I havent quite come down to earth since Allegrettos
12-1 victory.  Plus that maiden in the last.

ps  Was it you who was waxing lyrical about the Pletnev Rach 3
at the other place ?  Absolutely blinding disc - a first movement
cadenza to die for.

Perhaps it was Rachfan.

At all events a Rachmaninoc concerto totally out of the ordinary and one which has me pursuing the complete Pletnev discography.

Hi Ali - way you describe it sounds great sound system - test it out first maybe with the Rite of Spring at full volume
Re Allegretto - only noticed after the event but this beast was fitted with first time visor - remember he pulled off the same stunt last  season with Great Hawk at 20's -

I remember concert once with John Lille playing Rach 3rd Pc - some of the fast bits were sensational -dont think i have this work on cd so maybe will try and catch the Pletnev version - i did have conv with Rachfan although that was the 3rd symphony which i also like although seems neglected nowadays imo
