Oh, I love that last Karajan one. Also, the fact that in all of them he seems under the possession of a demonic miniature of himself.

The real question is: where is that glow coming from just south of the picture?  Shocked

 Wink

...and these bring us not much closer to solving the mystery...

...although this suggests that whatever it was he had to hold his sunglasses in front of it to prevent damage to someone's expensive photographic equipment.

Help! I have been searching high and low for the LP sleeve of my copy of Glenn Gould's recording of the 'Emperor' concerto with the American Symphony Orchestra and Leopold Stokowski. I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's the one with Gould, Beethoven and Stokowski in the cab of a big lorry (with the logo "Wurlitzer" on the bonnet). Anyone got it and can stick a photo of it in the 'bucket'? What I did find was the Nonesuch LP of Cage's Concerto for Prepared Piano and Orchestra, coupled with Lukas Foss's Baroque Variations. I've been wanting to hear the Foss again for ages. All good clean fun. It's the 'Emperor' cover art that I really to find though. Google has not been of any use, this time.

(sorry, I should link that in case anyone's reading at work -- it's the cover of John Oswald's Plunderphonics)
