Dear all,
I am project managing the following concert which I think will interest a lot of concert-goers:

Panayotis Archontides, Greek-Australian pianist, former Trinity College of Music Scholar and recipient of the Silver Medal for excellence by the Worshipful Company of Musicians (2007) will perform a solo piano recital celebrating the centenary of film-composer Miklos Rozsa. The programme features works by Beethoven (Rondo op.51 no.1), Haydn (Sonata), Liszt (Mazeppa Etude), and Rozsa's rarely heard Six Bagatelles op.12 and the Sonata op.20. Rozsa is well-known for scoring Ben-Hur, Spellbound, Thief of Bagdad, etc.
Where/when?: St Giles, Cripplegate, Fore Street, Barbican. Saturday November 10 at 7:30pm. For more see http://www.miklosrozsa.org/ (under features, upcoming performances) and http://www.concert-diary.com/home/concert_details.asp?id=82899&ref=13&hide=&old=

Visit the artist's webpage here: www.natalie-peter.com (under concert dates)
Hope to see some of you there!

It's rather too far away for me, Natalie: I'm based in the North East of Scotland, so that's a 1,000 mile round trip. There seems to have been quite a revival of interest in his music on disc recently (particularly the concerti) so hopefully you'll have the start of a ready-made audience.

Sadly it's even further away for me than Ron, Natalie, but I wish you the best of success with it!   Smiley

Ron and Reiner,
Thanks for the comments and support! I do hope we have a good turn-out, on the other hand I am already having scarry thoughts of a good crowd and too few people as ushers (I'll be asking for help probably from TCM). Anyone with more experience, or a disaster story to cheer me up?! (in project-managing of course)
