On the other side, on the 'Live Recording' thread, you will find a VERY interesting and I think rather mroe revealing than they think exhange between Rob Cowan, Peter Katin, and Jonathan Swain about pretty well exactly what Stuart Macrae has just said.

Worth catching.

Echoing what Stuart has said, the last time I was involved in a live radio broadcast (in Moscow), our black-humoured conductor, Vlad Bulakhov said in the Green Room just before we went out...  "remember this is going out live to the whole nation.  Any wrong notes will be heard from the Carpathian Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, and from the Arctic to the camel-herders of Tuva.  Does anyone need any more practice, or can we go on now?"  Wink

I think your conductor Bulakhov put so much pressure on you. Did you play well? Imagine to say like that just before going on stage.

I just went back to tOP and was virtually speechless.
Nearly everything I want to talk about has been banned.
What's the point of me posting there any more?
How depressing. And there's no whisky in the house.

I'd be more concerned about the whisky, personally.  Question of priorities, isn't it? ;-)

Ho!  On page one of the Music Matters Board there are now 12 "no title - hidden threads.  One was started by a new member who said he was new to classical music and asked for recommendations about what he should listen to.  To "zap" that thread is unbelievable when Radio 3 are supposed to be searching for new listeners.  The Gestapo is about.

Yes, I just looked in there, soundwave. Appalling - especially the one you mention. I wonder what the others will say later when they see it all!   Shocked

But they've left the CE threads, as it seems they have decided to do and as I mentioned earlier this week.

Thankful for small mercies, it is that I am.

Ho Simon.  I see there are now 13.  Pooh!  Incidentally, who is the nice young lady in the "kingfisher" gownless evening strap?  Not you, is it?  Ho!

Now there are 14.  The thread by Fosco Toadfoot complaining of the zapping of the new listener's request for recommendations has been "sponned".  Aaaaarrrrgh!

Where were you last week, s'wave?

No it's not me.  It's Lily Allen.  She's a good singer and a real babe.  And I fancy her.

Seems as if your thoughts are shared by others over there Martle. Hope they are unfounded, it would be a bit silly otherwise.
