Saw this "elsewhere". A good thing or a bad thing? What would you request? And what would you pay money NOT to hear?

On Friday 16th BBC Radio 3 will clear the schedules between 10am-12pm and 2pm-7pm for listeners requests in return for donations to Comic Relief. Listeners can make their request on Freephone 0800 033 033

"At 7pm BBC Radio 3 presents Bill Bailey and the BBC Concert Orchestra in Bill Bailey: Cosmic Shindig, recorded at Queen Elizabeth Hall. After years of being at the top, Bill Bailey is still the untouchable god-prince of musical comedy. His stand up is so good that he could do a show without touching an instrument but he was let loose on the BBC Concert Orchestra, with Anne Dudley at the helm trying to keep everyone together."

As I said on a rare visit to the "other" boards - it might be the only live music played on R3 this year...

I shall not be tuning in to R3 that day until the Verb and Jazz Library, assuming that those programmes are broadcast. As to what I would pay good money not to hear..anything involving Anne Dudley and the BBC Concert Orchestra springs readily to mind.

Why haven't they got Charles Hazlewood to do it?

Sounds eminently missable.

Paying NOT to hear something reminds me of some internet radio sites where you can pay not to have the adverts.

What a great idea. Can you have that on TV as well. I would pay Mr Murdoch an extra tenner a month to avoid all adverts
