Here's a bon-bon after all that waiting. It's Marta Milinowski, a pupil of Teresa Carreņo, playing Macdowell's Hexentanz on the Duo-Art; there's certainly witchery about!

Well that is utterly bizarre.  It's exactly the same piece - no mistaking it.  Oddly, "Hexentanz" rang a bell with me so I can only assume that the roll I remember may have been subtitled.  Either that or I've gone bonkers and remembered the name wrong, but I can't think where I would have invented Witchery Valse from.

In any case, if that's by Macdowell I can only assume that Mr Baynes' effort is a different one.  I'll have to have a proper look at the roll next time I go over to Loughborough, and I should be able to identify the tune from the perforations even if I can't play it.  Thanks so much for posting this link, it's so great to hear it after such a long time - love it!  Smiley
