Does that have something to do with his problems with his eyes, I wonder? (I understand he is partially blind in one eye)

He isn't partially blind in one eye.  He is totally blind in one eye and has an artificial one.  It was caused by a sporting injury I believe.

This shouldn't stop anyone driving though.  My auntie had an artificial eye and she was ok to drive.

Neither has a certain Right Honourable Rock Fan. I've always seen the lack as an asset, not a liability Smiley

Ry Cooder is another who has one artificial eye. But then of course there are many accomplished musicians who are totally blind.

I've never had a driving licence either, and I will invite you all to a banquet and a trip round the world when I become Prime Minister. (That's an even safer promise than O. Sudden's.)

From my experience I would say, strong leader character, and a firm hand with the scalpel. How does that compare with his track record so far?

Ooh, are you an expert, Kitty? I've always wanted to have my handwriting analysed! (Though not enough to actually search out someone to do it, obviously ... Embarrassed)

Are there other analysts/potential analysands here? Should we start a thread to which we can all scan and upload examples of our handwriting?! (Mine's all but legible, by the way. Undecided)

My mother's very good at it - she used to analyse my teachers whenever it was school report time and got them spot on. Apparently it's very useful to be able to see how the pen presses so ballpoint is better than felt-tip...
