It's rather Dante-esque, Sadler's Wells, isn't it. Perhaps they should have a Seventh Circle right up the top where talkers and eaters can be banished for ever behind sound-proof octopule-glazing.

I was in the stalls, so it was obviously going on everywhere. I hadn't been to Sadler's Wells for a very long time, and I rather liked the informal atmosphere, until the trouble started! I was very surprised. I think I did say "Sssh" once, but too politely to have any effect.

Yes, it was on Tuesday. Perhaps we passed each other in the crowd. I really went to London for The Turn of the Screw, but when I discovered Herring was on the next night, I thought it was too good an opportunity to miss.
