Is this one by John Behan?
He had done similar things.

People don't like that statue. They say that Luzhkov (major of Moscow) gave comission to his crony.
I don't like it too, though at first I couldn't understand why they don't like it.
You can see rebuild church on the background. This church was demolished and rebuild by Turks.

I think it's a quite ugly, which for me is more than enough reason not to like it.

Now this...

...is quite nice I think.
Makes me feel a little nostalgic..

For some reason I have always found The Angel of the North rather scary and forbidding Perhaps I would feel differently if I saw it 'live' Huh On the other hand, my vertigo would probably be scared too! Roll Eyes

I am glad that we all have the same opinions and feelings about the two sculptures mentioned.

I like this too.

I don't like this. Both of them are mayor Luzhkov. He is mayor of Moscow for many years. His wife has a construction company and get all contracts. He says that he doesn't know her business.

This is Mr Luzhkov is sweeping streets of Moscow. The face is his, no doubts about it.

I posted the link with the first sculpture of Luzhkov as an athlet.
The in post number 19 is mayor Luzhkov with the ball under his foot.
That is a flatery of huge proportion.

Under him there is a link to an interview with a man that I knew very well. I remember how him when he just arrived from the Soviet Union. We were already seasoned immigrants of about three years by that time. We used to go to his parties.
Can you see the link or should I post it again?
