Yeh but.... but... really , decorum !! That were't dress I showed to Annie Walker. She said "Oh Ena - that's a lovely dress", and I said "D'yer like it?", and she replied "Oh yes - I've always liked it"! She were real nasty.

I preferred Arthur Lowe reading the Mr Men. Yes. It was (and still is) a bit of a gem.

I preferred Arthur Lowe reading the Mr Men. But the Swindler only did that 'cos having spent all his crooked time trying to look like dear old Albert Tatlock without managing to 'e then thought Mr Men looked like him!

Ena, is't true that you're related to t' US consul in Puccini's tragedia giapponese? T'only Japanese tragedy I ever 'ad were when stuck-up Elsie Tanner took me to't Japanese restaurant, and they gave me two blummin' bits o' wood to pick 't stuff up wi'.

Where's Ena gone?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? OH: Ee..........! Am I alone in finding this transliterated Mancunian dialect somewhat tiresome? Sorry folks - bye Oh no; I hope you didn't find Richard bothersome; he's not to be taken too seriously when he complains about people. You had rather made a good name for yourself on here; you will be missed if you do not come back Of course, if you were not enjoying yourself, that's a different matter.

I have a vivid memory of her once having a standing argument in the street with Elsie Tanner which came to an abrupt end when she swung her handbad at Elsie's window and succeeded in smashing it. Ah, them wer't days lad. Oh you mean OUR Ena. Well as I was away last week I'm staying out a that love

Time for return of the Baz, perhaps? But really, I hope you decide to come back, Ena. I hope Richard won't mind me recalling that he can be a little, um, grumpy at times and almost certainly didn't mean to offend you.

I'm sure either Baz or Ena or both will return in some guise before long, sharing as they do a fondness for the thoughts of Chairman Grew. (Has anyone ever seen Baz and Ena in the same room I wonder )

Not having gone through all the various boards recently, I started with the Announcements ... and realised that I'd completely missed all the post re new moderator!
Next to the Welcome section. I read through all four pages of Ena's welcome ...only to discover s/he might have left already! I do hope not.
Pause now to watch Claudia on BBC2 then I'll continue.
