Anyway, LDHS, when you were in Paris recently, did you see a Baritone or did you Sea Bass?

I wouldn't be able to tell, 'cos my herring's awful!

I guess that to express the hope that Lady D has a whale of a time here would be off-topic.

We have an interesting Cathedrals and Churches thread, which is inter-denominational...  it's been quiet in there for a week or two, so it's a bit dark in there,

Reiner has been missing out on the Freudian analysis of the fittings of Llandaff Cathedral which has been going on at that thread (in the Coffee Bar) in the last few days, with no consideration whatever for the feelings of  David Underdown or his mum, for whom it holds important memories.

I don't want to mussel in but ometimes we skate around and talk measurements, like pike and perch or how many angelfish can sit on the head of a ray* .  I am a Ron grouper but if you carp or flounder eel be after you!  We are quite musical and have many a fine bass.  Also rather a camp in-house band **Dolly Varden and the rainbow trouts, they are brill!!

So don’t come the raw prawn, don’t clam up, warm the cockles of our hearts, the message board is your oyster.

* Possibly this should be on the Churches thread  Cheesy

**Only a true fish anorak (or flatheads as they are commonly referred to) will get this.

OK, I don't get it. However I thought you said you hadn't read Barnaby Rudge yet, anty, (where pretty Dolly is the daughter of honest locksmith Gabriel Varden, around whose house are the usual dark and improbable secrets that keep the plot of a Dickens novel going)?

Cookery, novels, churches, awful puns...

Some people even talk about music now and again.

Welcome milady,

Some new members just happened upon this plaice, but I'm glad to know that with good recommendation and after some deliberation you came here on porpoise!
