Quelch, splatter, splutter, yuck, ugh - well back home briefly before swimming. My ducks are swimming happily up and down on my flooded patio and the rain is teeming down my walls having overflowed the gutters and downspouts.
Hey ho.
Home before swimming? I'm sitting here with the heating on, thinking that I really have to swim out with today's bin some time this evening, unless I want to get up before dawn tomorrow to do it.

The sea on the horizon is charcoal grey with white horses - very choppy. Tide is going out. There is a break in the clouds which may mean a lull now. It has bucketed down now for 24 hours without let-up. Maybe it'll settle down. I hope so.
Mary - swimming is in a hotel pool and I'm not doing it. I'm just watching and nodding encouragement through the glass whilst having a pot of tea and piece of cake. Very nice too.

That does sound very attractive just now! Unfortunately I've already eaten all 6 chocolate-coated coconut macaroons that I bought this morning and I'm not planning to buy any more sweet things today. But I will go and put the kettle on for a cup of tea ...

I've been having a laugh looking at the adverts at the top of the page offering us running lessons. Just shows that advertising people are savvy to what we talk about on here. They were offering boxer pups for sale the other day!

I am grumpy because I am trying to do too much. I still take beginners and it takes ages until there is any results. The last two are for a slow start. They are two brothers of 9 and 7. Once a week for 30 min, after school (when they are tired) after sport day. And then there are family obligations (wedding in Claire). They come from a little town close by, but from musical family (granmother was a pianist and grandfather is still playing). And I want to jusp through many stages, but before they get to grade 1 there is preliminary, elementary, primary level, not to mention underground level (this is where they are now). But such a nice boys. I had someone's grandpa for lesson this morning and then his grandson in after two brothers. I am tired. I am not grumpy, just like to complain.

This is why I taught in the classroom t-p. I had some pupils privately but I did not enjoy them as much as a class of rowdy teenagers !!
Relax tonight !!

Thank you, A. I am going to a concert of an ensemble of winds from Oslo philharmonic tonight.
They are not staffy people and I can unwind with musicians and a good audience (mostly local musicians). It is so good here on this board because people understand what one is going through.
