I meant that I was disgruntled. But now I rereed my post and see that 'fyscal' is very nearly 'fiscal' and doesn't come across as the 'physical' that it was originally meant to evince.

PS deliberate typos tonight are because I'm bored and it's the most interesting thing that I can think of to pass the time except that I've just realised that I meant to watch Medium (actually I'm heading towards Small I've lost that much weight recently shouldn't this be in the off-topic thread?) but forgot because I was too busy killing time posting here and on the book of face oh well time to wash up I suppose.

Major grump-ness coming here.

Endeavour to see PCM6 at Cadogan Hall. Crap journey, involving delayed trains, buses which neglected to stop at the appointed place, and finally hot-footing it all the way along King's Road. Sprang down the three stairs to the box office in one go at 12:49, and gave some over-perfumed patrons rather a shock. "Sorry, we're totally sold out". Sad

Went out just a tad more disenheartened than on the way in, and thought of what I could do to prevent a wasted trip. AHA, methought, RCM library should be open. So, off to the bus stop. 452 was prompt at least. Got off, round the RAH, and down through the labyrinth to library entrance.

Monday: Closed.

My colleague is playing his music in the office and lets just say, it's not R3 material.   Angry

Can someone please remind me how one writes a piece of music again? I'm sure I've quite forgotten.  Sad

Sorry. Can't help you on that one.
I've been trying to remember myself. Not trying to remember me, but I have also been trying to remember how to compose but then you knew what I was trying to say so I don't even now why I bother.
Back to the bookcase.

There are builders constructing an extension next door, which means that they use a corner of my front lawn to drag things across, play their music from 9:30am to 4pm and have a habit of slamming as many doors as possible.

You have my sympathy. I once spent several months in a flat where unseen builders used a pneumatic drill on the other side of my wall every day. Still, it was in France, so although it started at 7am it only went on til about 9am, at which time they presumably knocked off for the day...

Oh thank the Lord they've finished for the day.
I didn't realise how intrusive I was finding it until they left. I'd say something but builders scare me.
Incidentally, while I'm here, does anyone know what to do with mutant eyebrow hairs - those ones that are thick and wiry and stick out all over the shop?

I wouldn't worry about them too much, hh. They can be quite attractive in an eccentric kind of way, especially when they get really big.

Ahem. I was talking about the renegade eyebrow hairs but it could equally apply to builders. Undecided

The city is a process which always veers away from the form envisaged and desired, ... whose revenge upon its architects and planners undoes every dream of mastery. It is [also] one of the sites where Dasein is assigned the impossible task of putting right what can never be put right. - Rob Lapsley
