Bloomin' Aida, Anty, nary a keyboard be safe in your vicinity. You are the Bethesda triangle so far as they are concerned, isn't it? Perhaps you should keep them covered with a thin layer of polythene or cling-film.

Sorry if this is the wrong place.  Has anyone else been plagued by DAB failure today?  My two sets have each switched themselves off several times today, most recently just before the interval of the Judith Weir concert.  Not just on R3 either.  It happened during the R4 programme about 'The House of the Rising Sun' at 1130 too. The only remedy seems to be to turn off and try to guess when the signal returns to switch back on.  If I just leave the radio switched on there's no sign it would ever work again!

Hi H,

I was recording the Judith Weir concert and my DAB went dead, no sound at all. Don't know when it started as I wasn't actually listening live. All other BBC stations dead too, signal error very high. Switched to Oneword then back to R3 and it was OK. No idea what the problem is.

But Andy, Oneword has finished ... just twittering birds now ( quite nice in their own way but not as Oneword was !!)

I am not sure that this is a grump really as I was quite impressed. I bought a DVD player for the bedroom ( Roll Eyes) just before Christmas. This week I received a letter from the TV licensing department telling that I didn't have a licence. I don't have one as I don't have a telly but share my feller's at this address ( he has a licence I hasten to add!)
All I had to do was phone to tell them the number of his licence and ( I hope ) all will be well!!!

I have to say I was quite impressed at this ...  Grin

I heard the twittering birds A. Oneword is on one of the presets on my DAB tuner so I tried that as I wanted to try a non-BBC station. There used to be another twittering birds station, can't remember what it was/is called, which I used to like listening to occasionally. Perhaps Oneword uses the same recordings?

Thanks for the answers everyone.   I don't have any non-BBC presets so couldn't be as thorough as Andy.  I suppose I'll have to try and get both programmes through 'Listen Again' - not very good quality via my PC, which is pretty much set up with work rather than entertainment in mind.  Sorry you lost your recording, Andy.
