This is an international 2 day symposium happening in the music department at the University of Hertfordshire. It's mounted by Jeremy Arden - he's a music lecturer there and a Schillinger expert. For those to whom Schillinger is just a name, here's a bit of background info :-

Here is a schedule for the conference. Please do come. All events happen in the John Lill music centre at the university of hertrfordshire, Hatfiled.I can't seem to attach a pdf so you'll have to register with www.ssm.uk.net to download the map.

   12.30   Opening of the Schillinger exhibition

Las Vegas to Baltimore: the Strange Tale of Schillinger’s Nachlass.
   1600   Break and preparation of room for concert.
   16.30-17.30   Jonathan Powell plays Schillinger’s piano music.
   17.30-18.30   Drinks, discussion and debate as well as another chance to see the exhibition.
   1900    Conference dinner
8/9/07      
   1000   Dr Ilya Levinson.
“Systematic” Gershwin: evidence for the Schillinger System in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
    1100   J. Arden Rhythm master class part 1
   1300   Lunch
   1400   J Arden master class part 2 with Three Strange Angels

   1630   David Mason piano recital of Schillinger inspired music.
