What recordings of this piece for solo double bass are available, apart from the John Eckhardt one on Mode? Is anyone aware of any forthcoming performances?

And rightly - Håkon Thelin's is a contender too, even though I don't find much of the rest of the CD that engaging (apart from the Sørensen and Druckman pieces). The Mode CD is IMO one of the best Xenakis recordings ever released.

Even better, get this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xenakis-Mythos-Technik-Zagrosek-Bavarian/dp/3795778069/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1200710597&sr=1-1 and see it done live with a wee commentary that explains the performer's approach in some detail, but delivered in an amusing and non-up-it's-bottom manner...
