'Group improv' and 'parallel improv'.

Does anyone know anything about these concepts in improvised music? They were mentioned a while back over at the Radio 3 message board, but I can't locate the original post.

Isn't group improv merely a description? Don't recall hearing about parallel improv before, maybe you could ask this on the 'I hate music' board?
