Details of the following arrived through the letter-box today:

http://www.soundwaves-festival.org.uk/index.php

To quote the brochure:

The focus of Soundwaves Festival 2008 is to highlight the diversity of sound art practices that populate our contemporary society; to push at boundaries, break down categories and provide our audience with intriguing and exhilarating experiences; in short to present music outside the box.

A range of venues, including Brighton Station and a Hove beach hut, and some familiar names.

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

Glad to see that one of our most senior and respected members is still able to push boundaries, whilst maintaining 5 lawns.
