Composers are so young these days! We have been listening to the first performance of Thierry Pécou's opera Les Sacrifiées and found it quite nice really.

And another piece of his has aroused our interest, the cantata Passeurs d'Eau:

Our instinct tells us Pécou is one of the coming men.

...nonetheless in need of a trouser press, Mr Grew, if point it out we may.

How right Mr Martle is, I feel!  What a pity to see a promising career stymied for lack of easily-obtained domestic apparatus.

On the other hand he is a recipient of the "Prix Pierre Cardin de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts" Mr. Martle so we think that makes it all right.

Au contraire, Mr Grew. M Cardin is merely one of your Euro-couture 'here today, gone tomorrow' johnny-come-latelies as I'm certain on sober reflection you'd allow.

Passeurs d'eau.

I think this is a title I should try not to think too hard about.
