Any thoughts on last nights performance at the QEH?
When I heard the DG/Stockhasen edition recording a few years back i was knocked out by it-last night seemed 100% committed but there were ensemble problems in the wind section and mixing issues (particularly first time rouind)...the idea came across with sufficent force, but detail was lacking?....I could be mistaken.
It was certainly good to see how it looks, and the young players engaged with the theatrical aspects very well.

I wish I'd been there.
I suppose I could find this out with a quick google, but is there a DVD of Trans? If there isn't, there really should be...
I'd also like to see works like Musik im Bauch on DVD. Since they are both rarely performed works with a strong visual aspect, certain elements (and therefore, the piece itself?) just won't come across in a sound recording.
