OK, so we have the facility to complain about a posting. What happens then?

I imagine and hope that what happens is that our elected moderators take any action they see fit. I trust them, don't you? I don't think it's fair on any of them to expect responses to complaints immediately - they do have lives to lead, like most of us I imagine.

Quite agree, martle. It should also be noted that the advice is that if a response is desired, a specific request for such should be made, which will be dealt with by means of a personal email from the Moderators. I may not have voted for any of the current team (though I might, of course have voted for each of them, but that's for me to know Wink ), but I have every confidence in their diligence and sense of fair play.

A,

I'm sure you're very well aware that the Mods are not always able to deal with matters immediately, and that sometimes points are raised which require considerable discussion. In this particular instance, there are other complaints ahead of yours in the queue which also need fair consideration.

If you really wish matters to be brought into the public sphere, then it is only fair to point out that the only posting that we'd consider to be actionable so far is yours concerning Richard's music, which is clearly against the board's rules:

Quote
3.  Posts deemed by moderators to be libellous, excessively inflammatory in their subject matter or abusive to fellow members will be edited and users warned, suspended or banned upon repeated breaking of the rules.

but which you have not sought to amend. The fact that you chose to let this stand yet still complain about other issues which are not obviously counter to the board's written rules hardly furthers your cause.

Ron

The only post I will modify is the one that all have ignored... 768 on the same thread....

Having read Baz's post I would like to say that I agree with him that I respond in a more emotional and impulsive way to members' comments. I apologise to those I may have offended. The test thread started and run so efficiently by Mr Grew is one of the best there has been in my opinion and I would hate to be, in however small a way, responsible for the souring of the atmosphere.

This obviously is not relevant...?

I will willingly withdraw this.  Grin Grin
