Sorry that this has to be brought to general attention, but in the light of a recent incident, we need to make the following clear.

It has been brought to our attention that a member's private mailbox has been subjected to unsolicited spamming instigated by another member. Spamming is tantamount to stalking; not only very unpleasant for the target but also contrary to the rules of the board, within whose jurisdiction these mailboxes lie. Whilst it is doubtless a practice which the majority of our members would never even contemplate, it seems that we need to spell things out for the member concerned.

This is not to happen again. Any further complaints of this nature will result in action appropriate to the board's rules being taken.

Thank you.

Sorry, Ron - to be clear: does this mean that someone has been spamming via PMs? That would certainly be reprehensible.

They have, Martle, and it is. Hopefully, there will be no more.

Most of us on these boards are responsible people and that makes a change, especially with all the idiots that we have to put up with the rest of our lives elsewhere.
