Need to explain better than that m'Lord.

I've never been a great fan of Murray Perahia, but I did enjoy the early Mozart PC (because I was trying to guess what it was, and failed) and the Handel Violin Sonata - who was the violinist?

Yes, it's getting better as the weeks go by, is this AIF series. I, too, am not a huge fan of Perahia, but these are good half-hour slots. And it's classical music in the late evening, which is what we want, don't we?
 Cool

Yes, I do agree with that. I'm quite often in the car at these late hours and I welcome R3's return to an evening classical schedule - as an alternative to Nick Bailey's programme on ClassicFM, good though it is, it can be repetitive by repeating too often their listeners' "most wanted" works.

The playlist on last night's Artist Focus was very refreshing.

PS why is it called Artist Focus and not Artist IN Focus?

Good point, and one which had evidently slipped past LB and me both. I suppose trendiness has to be the order of the day over there. I always thought Interpretations on Record was a good title, but I can't see that one coming back yet.

But it took R3 too long to change the schedule, so still most CFM listeners do not tune in to R3.

The BBC created 6music years ago and it could have become an important Arts station, accomodating some of the specialist shows that R3 has now consigned to the post-11pm slots or axed altogether.
