Probably very simple, but beyond me at present.

How do you quote something from one thread for use on a different one?

A little roundabout: quote on the thread you're on in the conventional manner. Cut the entire quote, then go to the thread of choice and paste there. Continue in the usual manner

Thanks, Chafers. I did actually try that a couple of times, but it didn't work.
I probably messed up even that.

Left click, highlight what you want to quote.  Click on copy and then when you go to your other thread, click on paste.

That should do it.

Unfortunately, Milly's technique doesn't include the little link above the quote with the quotee and date/time, though that may not be important to you.

Oh sorry - I just thought you meant the body of the text.  Well - just type in the quotee and date/time first.... Grin

Auto, it took me a while to work that particular manoeuvre out (actually, the penny only dropped a couple of weeks ago Embarrassed)  Chafers is spot on. If you want the quote to appear in a blue box, follow the Dish!
