Is there any way to remove a topic which you've started?

In the CD Exchange, my "Mahler 3 at the Proms" topic is still up there, and for many weeks now it has been very successfully resolved!

Not much point keeping it!

it's probably very simple and i'm just being blind....

Hi eruanto,

I'll move it to an archive folder, and it'll be permanently removed if not requested in a few months time.

John W,

How does one access archived topics then? A search for "Mahler 3 at the Proms" did not yield it. Is there an archive button staring me in the face but which I haven't noticed yet?

 Hi, John

A bit of a misnomer although I was involved in sending Mahler 3 at The Proms to poster Eruanto several weeks ago.     Successfully resolved as he said and we subsequently exchanged e-mails confirming safe delivery.

Can I now use this thread to ask whether I can use my actual name, in future, rather than Richard Sheridan?  Ergo, same as I use on R3 MBs?

Happy to confirm this request by e-mail.

First of all for Martin, if your query was not answered elsewhere, archived messages are in a folder at foot of homepage, and there is a search button staring you in the face, near top of ANY page, the magnifying glass icon, click it, enter 'Mahler 3 at the proms' in the search field and you'll find the topic or messages you seek.

Yes, I can change your 'displayed name' for you. Stanley is it? Let me know here or by PM.

I expect you want your login name changed too. That's a bit more involved. Let me change your display name to what you want, then I'll PM you about the login name procedure.

Holidays are busy times on forums, need to watch over them, note the Grumpy thread today Roll Eyes

Have to say though, I don't read all the music threads, bit over my head.

Stanley,

The long name gets chopped off. With a space would look like

Many thanks for your prompt response, John.

Further your comments, showing my full name, in display, with a space between first name and surname, can this still be done?   -  or I am sending you back to grumpy rant mode again?     Any further initiative will be most welcome.

Renewed thanks, Stanley
