The November issue of BBC Music mag has a review by Michael Tanner of Mitsuko Uchida's new recording of Beethoven's Hammerklavier sonata which he asserts is the greatest ever recorded and ranks as a disk of a calibre " I would count myself lucky to encounter once in a decade." Was it recently part of a CD Review round up of recent Beethoven disks ?

Anyway, it isn't enough to persuade the editor to even give it the status of disk of the month which goes confusingly to another disk by a pianist, Martha Argerich playing Shostakovich ( but not solo piano; the concerto no 1, piano quintet and concertino for two pianos )
