 Roll Eyes

Posted today at R3MB by the CD Review team:

As many of you will know, the all-new Building a Library Text Club started a few weeks ago. We have been running this as a trial service, and are keen to know what you think. If you've already signed up, do you find it useful? If not, why not?

For more information visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/cdreview/textclub/

Best wishes

 Huh indeed!

Presumably it's for people who missed the programme?

I like BAL because it teaches me something about the music and prods me to evaluate what I might like (or otherwise) about a particular piece.

I don't think u shd buy th klmpr its th best ok? is going to help me very much  Undecided

Ok -- here's a thought for using the technology intelligently.

They could text you just the catalogue number of their recommendation. If you wanted the item, you would simply forward the text to a music retailer of your choice, where a computer will automatically identify you (from your phone number), identify the required CD (from the message content), collect the money (through your phone bill), and direct a warehouse minion to pop the CD into the post.

It should then be in your hands by Tuesday morning Smiley

The text club is a cheap gimmick thought up, most likely, by a committee.  Sad

(A committee is a collection of people who collectively endorse a decision with which, individually, they may not agree.)
