Does anyone know about the Andromeda label, which has just re-issued the Christoff complete Mussorgsky songs? Is this under licence from EMI or is it an out-of-copyright job?

Several sellers are offering it for under £9 which for 3 CDs seems a bargain, but I'm wondering about the quality...

Anyone with experience of this label?

Yes, I'd seen that too, Stevo, and could well invest. It's now out of copyright.

I have a few Andromeda releases, but of live opera performances. The quality should be fine, but be warned that there are unlikely to be any texts, just a tracklisting.

For more bargain Mussorgsky, with Christoff in his 1952 recording of Boris Godunov, visit here - 70p for Boris can't be bad!  Cheesy
